Moist
This collection is made using only the rare and highly valuable leather of holstein ox of Hokkaido origin, chosen from a selection of Japanese leathers available at a tanner’s in Honda, Tatsuno City that specializes in jackets, gloves, and other leather clothing items. The chromium tanned leather is soft, supple and holds dye well, and incorporates many clothing techniques.
An antique inspired dye is used applied by hand as a finishing touch, that results in a leather that allows you to enjoy its natural beauty.
Shade
For this series, leather that is sufficiently thick sourced from North America is carefully selected at a tanner’s in Matsubara in Tatsuno City that specializes in chromium tanning combined with elements such as waterproof leather etc. Defects that arise only from combining chromium and tannin tanning are taken on, and only the extruding parts are finished with roll quarter for an even distinct light and dark contrast. The leather used in this collection is functional as it is durable, and not easily damaged by the sun.
Alike
Fine textured cow hide tanned using tannin is selected from a tanner’s in Tokyo Sumida that specialized in rarities such as kip skin and sheepskin is used for this collection.
Dyeing with aniline brings out a bright and translucent hue. And the finishing dye designed for the bumps and dents is applied using urethane for a result only possible through hand is achieved by applying urethane.
