Kobe port opened in 1867 and has continued to flourish since. In 1867, 10 townlands including the areas of Kanbe-mura, Futatsuchaya-mura, and Hashiudo-mura combined to form Motomachi street. And in 2010, right in the heart of the home of Kobe, the flagship store Studio Kiichi opened.
